Workshops/Classes: (sign up for text reminders for last min changes)
Workshops are on Monday Evenings starting at 6 pm at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds
PURDUE REQUIRES that members sign-in each night they attend any meetings or training.
There are 2 options to attend an orientation meeting. *You must attend at least one orientation* – make sure you & your parents sign in.
March 4th – All Member Orientation meeting 6:00 – conference room 1&2 (no dogs)
March 18th – All Member Orientation meeting 6:00 – conference room 1&2 (no dogs)
March 25th – Expo Hall – 6:00 – New members training (1A)
*Returning members classes in the Expo hall are for levels 1B, 2A, 2B, Veterans and up*
*New members training in the Expo hall is for levels 1A*
April 1st – Expo Hall – 6:00 – Returning member training – drill team sign-up – need parent volunteers
April 8th – Expo Hall – 6:00 - New member training – need parent volunteers
*During Training on April 15th and 22nd you will need to sign up for Outside Classes and times.
April 15th – Expo Hall – 6:00 - Returning member training/drill team meeting – need parent volunteers
April 22nd –Expo Hall – 6:00 – New member training – need parent volunteers
April 29th 2024 – Expo Hall – 6:00 – NEW RULE!!! - MANDATORY DOG MEASURING FOR 2024 AGILITY - Returning member training/drill team sign up deadline – If you are doing agility this year, you must attend tonight to have your dog measured. If you do not get your dog measured tonight you will be unable to do agility this year. If you cannot bring your dog, have a family member bring them to get measured. No exceptions!!
*Outdoor practices start in May – SIGN IN each night before training in the NSSB Arena.
*During our outdoor practices Returning members may come and work one class time in agility if they volunteer during one class time with new members.*
May 6th – No practice
May 13th – 6:00 – New member training 1A & 1B – Returning member/parent volunteer night and agility
May 20th – 6:00 – Returning member training/drill team 2A, 2B & up – (new member volunteer night - no dogs)
May 27th – Holiday – no practice
June 3rd – 6:00 – New member training 1A & 1B – Returning member/parent volunteer night and agility
June 10th – 6:00 – Returning member training/drill team 2A, 2B & up– (new member volunteer night – no dogs)
June 17th – 6:00 – New member training 1A & 1B – Returning member/PARENT MEETING in NSSB office 6:30
June 24th – 6:00 – Returning member training/drill team 2A, 2B & up– (new member volunteer night – no dogs)
July 1st – 6:00 – New member training 1A & 1B – Returning member/parent volunteer night – no dogs) DEADLINE FOR COUNTY & STATE FAIR ENTRY!! Volunteers needed to clean the NSSB office, set up tables and chairs in office after cleaning.
July 8th – 6:00 – All member training – Need Parent volunteers for getting things ready for the fair. We will be getting boards ready, score sheets ready, & envelopes for each judging table ready.
July 12th 2024 – Set up for fair – 5:30 – 8 – We will need volunteers for setting up rings & laying out mats in the sponsor shelter as well as roping it off. Tents and tables and chairs where they need to be.
July 13th 2024 – County 4-H fair – check – in at 10:00, Announcements and Recognitions at 11:30 in the NSSB arena. Everyone needs to be in the arena by 11:25, Show will start at 12:00
2024 Indiana State fair - August 17th & 18th
Additional Drill team practices will be announced later but will practice each of these nights
